headcase.

Here's a quick look at my new hair cut. I'm still a bit too shy to show my hair in all entirety.
My tag line, trying to explain my hair to people is "I look like a boy with a bad perm".
Its shorter, wavier and overall a lot softer, rather than the sharp sleekness I had before. The hairdressers put a slight perm in it to get a bit more volume.

I'm sorry for my lack of posting lately, I promise to be a bit more active here on my blog.
Hope you guys all had a RAD weekend!

brick country house, mies van der rohe

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the inconsistency in blogging. As of late I've been spending my weekends at the beach, surfing and enjoying the good weather that Sydney has recently decided to grace us with. As a result it means taking a lack of photos and outfit shoots.

I wanted to do one today, but a trip to the hair dresser yesterday ended in tears and tantrums, which means I don't think I'll be doing an outfit post until my hair grows out and I'm happy enough with how it looks.

I decided to share with you a few of my projects for uni. I haven't really posted much on my architecture lately and to do my passion for architecture justice, some dedicated posts to architecture would have been necessary sooner or later.

This definitely is not my finest piece of work. It literally took an hour or so (which in architecture terms is a rushed piece of work). But the interior scheme was just so intricate it was just so much fun to do. This building was designed by architect Mies Van der Rohe. It was actually never built, but the proposed materials used for this piece of work were brick masonry and glass. The aim of the project was to experiment with material representation.

Hope you guys like it.

lover: a dance for one.

At a young age, I always, always wanted to be a prima ballerina. I took the ballet lessons, wore the horrible costumes and pranced around the dance studio with all the other aspiring little girls.  I'm sure that is probably what most little girls at the age of 7 and 8 wanted. Australian Label, Lover's range: a dance for one, somehow brings back those whimsical feelings again with their beautifully composed video featuring the Australian Ballet. Gone are my urges for clean cut lines, tailored jackets and grungy boots, I want a slice of that ballerina elegance, posture and calm.

If only my bank account could afford it...

surfers paradise

I'm finally back from my 5 day trip up the north to the Gold Coast. I didn't really have much time to access the internet, which will explain my absence from my blog.

We started our trip with a fine dining experience out at Aria restaurant. The food was amazingly good, perfect ingredients, fresh, perfectly cook and perfect proportion too. The service was impeccable and the view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera house was spectacular.

We arrived to GREAT weather, blue skies and warm weather pretty much just like summer. We had booked a hotel, Circle on Cavill, about 5 minutes away from the beach in Surfer's Paradise beach. The view was pretty amazing and the hotel was so central it was easy access to everything.

It was good to have a few days off to just relax. We literally just went to the beach to surf, lazed around, saw Rick's friends and family, went fishing and did the quintessential tourist thing and went to Wet 'n' Wild. The rides were pretty crazy, a few of them nearly had me at tears too!

On our last day we had a massive thunder storm which closed down the entire Wet 'n' Wild early. Our flight was also cancelled due to a  bird hitting one of the planes engines so we were put up in another hotel and arrived back home the following day.

Sorry there are no outfit posts, didn't really have an occasion to dress up and most of the time I wore a bikini and havis out to the beach.

Hope everyone had a great week. What did you guys all get up to?
